AP DEECET: Andhra Pradesh Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test
The Commissioner of School Education Government of Andhra Pradesh administers APDEECET (Andhra Pradesh Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test). On the basis of performance in APDEECET (AP DEE CET) admissions are offered into D.El.Ed. Course in all Government District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) and Category ‘A’ and ‘B’ seats of Private Elementary Teacher Training Institutions .
Elementary Teacher Training Institutes Combined Entrance Test Eligibility Criteria
1. Mathematics:- Those who studied Mathematics as a subject at Intermediate level
2. Physical Science: - Those who studied Physics & Chemistry as subjects at Intermediate
level
3. Biological Science: - Those who studied Botany & Zoology as subjects at Intermediate level
4. Social Studies: - Those who studied any of two subjects out of Civics, Economics, History, Geography and Commerce at Intermediate level
Note: The candidates who passed Intermediate with Vocational Courses are not eligible.
Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 1 September of the year of admission. There shall be no upper age limit for admission into D.El.Ed course.
DElEd Admission Criteria
The General guidelines for admission of the candidates into Elementary Teacher Training Institutions offering D.El.Ed Course shall be as follows:
(i) The admissions into all Government DIETs and Category 'A' seats of the Private Unaided Elementary Teacher Training Institutions shall be made through a Single Window System in the order of merit on the basis of rank assigned in DEECET and to the extent of sanctioned seats through Web Based Admission service provided by the Convener DEECET or Convener DEECET AC as the case may be.
(ii) All the seats in Un-Aided Minority /Non-Minority Institutions offering D.El.Ed course shall be filled as follows:
(a) All the Category ‘A’ seats shall be filled by admitting the candidates as allotted by the Convener DEECET in case of Non Minority institutions and in case of Minority Institutions, by the Convener of DEECET/ DEECET-AC depending upon the option exercised by the Institutions and as per the Rules applicable.
(b) All the 20%, category ‘B’ seats of Un-aided non minority and Minority Elementary Teacher Training Institutions shall be filled by the respective institutions.
(c) The Admission of the candidate made in Un-Aided Non-Minority/ Minority Elementary Teacher Training Institutions under Category 'B' shall be subject to scrutiny by the Convener, DEECET.
Elementary Teacher Training Institutes Combined Entrance Test Syllabus
The syllabus of the test shall be of the standard of AP State Class VI to X for Part A and of Intermediate Standard for Part B.
The medium of Entrance Test: Question paper shall be in Telugu or Urdu or Tamil or English based on the medium opted by the candidate.
Elementary Teacher Training Institutes Combined Entrance Test Exam Pattern
The Question Paper of DEE CET is distributed over two parts. Part A carries 60 Marks and Part B carries 40 Marks. Total marks allotted for both the sections are 100
