B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture
Candidates who possess the following qualifications are eligible to seek admission.
A pass in two year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University or Board of Intermediate Education with the following subjects namely:
i) Physical Sciences
ii) Biological or Natural Sciences
Criteria for selection
The seats under ICAR quota are filled by ICAR, based on the performance in the written examination and the choice of the students.
PG Programme in M.Sc. (Horticulture)
This is a two year programme with specialization in (i) Fruit Science (ii) Vegetable Science (iii) Floriculture & Landscape Architecture (iv) Plantation, Spices, Medicinal & Aromatic Crops, (v) Post Harvest Technology (vi) Plant Pathology and (vii) Entomology.
Ph.D (Horticulture)
This is a three year programme with specialization in (i) Fruit Science (ii) Vegetable Science (iii) Floriculture & Landscape Architecture (iv) Plantation, Spices, Medicinal & Aromatic Crops which are offered at the College of Horticulture, Venkataramannagudem, West Godavari District and College of Horticulture, Anantharajupeta (Kadapa District).
Diploma in Horticulture
This is a two years Diploma in Horticulture. A pass in X class with overall grade 5.0 (including Hindi) for General and overall grade 4.0 (excluding Hindi) for S.C. & S.T. should be studied in rural areas (Non Municipal Area) at least for a period of Four years in Andhra Pradesh State only.
