Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Ananthapur (JNTUA)
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University was separated into four different Universities viz., JNT University Anantapur, JNT University Kakinada, JNT University Hyderabad and JNA&FA University Hyderabad in 2008, through an act of the State Government of Andhra Pradesh.
JNT University Anantapur started functioning from one of its Constituent Colleges at Anantapur, since August 2008. It catered to the technical education in the four districts of Rayalaseema region namely, Anantapur, Chittoor, YSR, Kurnool districts and SPSR Nellore district which would produce skilled man power of high quality to the respective industries.
The University has initiated many schemes to assure quality education to the students, career development of faculty members, progression of students towards higher education and generating career opportunities through the campus placement programmes in reputed organizations across the globe.
JNTUA has the following Constituent Colleges
By the virtue of its quality technical education, JNTUA has been ranked among the leading universities of the country. It offers 13 courses in the field of Engineering at undergraduate level. All the courses are for the duration of 4 years.
JNTUA M.Tech, MBA & MCA
JNTUA offers M.Tech and MBA for the duration of 2 years whereas MCA for the duration of 3 years. The eligible candidates are admitted through the written test conducted by the State Government.
JNTUA B.Pharm & M.Pharm
In the field of Pharmacy, JNTUA offers the courses at both UG and PG level
Admission to all the courses is based on EAMCET ranking. Admission to MTech is based on the candidates rank in Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET) while that of MBA & MCA is on Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) conducted by the State Government.
