IIM Visakhapatnam
The IIM Visakhapatnam is set up by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India in 2015 as a registered Society with a constituted Board of Governors under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act 2001. The institute is being mentored by IIM Bangalore. It was declared as an institute of National Importance in 2017. IIM Visakhapatnam is located in its temporary, but state-of-the-art facility in Andhra University campus.

Post Graduate Programme in Management
The two-year, full-time, residential Post Graduate Programme, leading up to Post Graduate Diploma in Management, is designed to equip students to take on leadership roles in a rapidly changing global scenario. It has been accorded equivalence with Master’s degree of an Indian University by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) for the purpose of admission to higher studies.
IIMV uses multiple parameters, namely academic performance in 10th standard examination, 12th standard examination and Bachelor’s degree examination, candidates’ scores in
CAT, as well as performance in Personal Interview and Written Ability Test to judge the suitability of candidates for the PGP program. Relevant work experience.
Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Business Management for Experienced Professionals (PGCEP)
IIM Visakhapatnam (IIMV) has launched Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Business Management for Experienced Professionals (PGCEP) on October 6th 2018 catering to the large population of professionals in and around Visakhapatnam, aspiring to pursue management education of high quality. Admission is done on the basis of
Common Admission Test (CAT) score and personal interview.
Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)
Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) is the doctoral programme of the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV). The FPM aims primarily at training prospective scholars who will excel in their chosen areas of research through high-quality publications. This programme would also groom the individuals to be highly skilled to teach various aspects of management.
The normal duration of the FPM is five years, comprising two years of course work, a comprehensive examination and thesis work consisting of a thesis proposal defence; and, a final thesis evaluation and defence.
Candidates should get their GMAT and GRE scores to apply for the programs.
Executive Education Programmes (EEP)
The Institute also aims to sensitize management education by enhancing knowledge and development of skills through various programmes as designed. In EEP, there are (a) Management Development Programmes and (b) In-company Management Programmes. These programmes, both in academic quality and content, reinforce the credibility of the flagship Post-Graduate Programme (MBA) being offered by the Institute.
