APPSC: Andhra Pradesh Civil Services Examination
The Andhra Pradesh Civil Services Exams are conducted by Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) for the recruitment of candidates for various government departments within the state of Andhra Pradesh. The examination is also called APPSC Group - I Examination and conducted over three rounds
- Screening Test
- Mains Examination
The Stage-I examination is selection test to find competitive candidates who can appear for the Mains Examination. Those selected in the Mains Test are called for Interview. Final merit list is made from marks obtained in the Mains and Interview.
APPSC Eligibility Criteria
Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission’s (APPSC) Group – I exam eligibility conditions are given below:
The Candidate’s Upper age limit relaxations details given below:
- A Candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
- Age: For all the Posts in Group – 1 Notification, Candidate’s age should be 18 years to 42 years.
i) 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST and BCs Candidate’s.
ii) 10 years age relaxation for Physically Handicapped (PH) Candidates.
iii) 3 years age relaxation for Ex-Service men (3 years & length of service rendered in the armed forces).
iv) 3 years age relaxation for N.C.C (who have worked as Instructor in N.C.C) – 3 Years & length of service rendered in the N.C.C.
v) 5 years age relaxation for A.P. State Government Employees (Employees of APSEB, APSRTC, Corporations, Municipalities etc. are not eligible) – 5 Years maximum based on the length of regular service.
vi) 3 years age relaxation for Retrenched temporary employees in the State Census Department with a minimum service of 6 months.Educational qualification:
A Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University in India established or incorporated by or under Central Act, Provincial Act, a State Act or an Institution recognized by the U.G.C. or an equivalent qualification. Preference shall be given to those who possess in addition to any of the following qualifications “A Post Graduate Degree in Law (or) P.G. Degree in Social Work with specialization in Labour Welfare and Personnel Management/ Industrial Labour Relations from a recognized University or Institution.”
